Dashboard Overview

The Newclear Dashboard is the first thing you see when you log in. It gives you a live, at-a-glance summary of your business — active products, recent sales, pending deliveries, and inventory alerts — all in one place.

The dashboard is fully widget-based, meaning you can show or hide any section based on what's most relevant to your role and workflow.


Dashboard Layout

The dashboard is divided into a responsive grid of widget cards. Each widget displays a specific metric or chart. Widgets are arranged automatically based on your screen size and your current widget preferences.

The top of the dashboard shows a greeting with your user name and today's date. Below that, your enabled widgets are displayed in order.


Available Widgets

Newclear ships with 12 configurable dashboard widgets. Here's what each one shows:

📦 Active Products

Displays the total number of products currently in Active status in your catalog. This is a quick health check on your published inventory.

📊 Orders Chart

A visual bar or line chart showing order volume over time (daily or weekly). Useful for spotting trends and peak selling periods.

🛒 POS Sale Statistics

Summarizes your Point of Sale activity — total POS transactions, total POS revenue, and average sale value for the selected period.

📈 Sales Chart

A high-level revenue chart combining all sales channels (POS + channel orders). Lets you visualize total business performance over time.

⏳ Pending Sales Payments

Lists sales where payment has not yet been collected or confirmed. This widget helps you stay on top of outstanding balances so nothing slips through the cracks.

🚚 Pending Sales Delivery

Shows orders that have been paid for but not yet fulfilled or shipped. Helps your fulfillment team prioritize what needs to go out the door.

🔔 Reorder Alerts

Highlights products that have fallen below their configured reorder threshold. Click any item to go directly to its inventory record. Keeping this widget visible helps prevent stockouts.


Additional Widgets (Configurable)

The following widgets can also be enabled from Dashboard Preferences:

  • Total Revenue — Cumulative revenue for the current period
  • New Customers — Count of customers added in the current period
  • Top Selling Products — Your best performers by units sold
  • Low Stock Warning — Products approaching but not yet at reorder threshold
  • Recent Activity Feed — A log of recent actions in the system

Enabling & Disabling Widgets

You can customize exactly which widgets appear on your dashboard:

  1. Click your profile avatar or go to Settings → Preferences → Dashboard
  2. You'll see a list of all available widgets with toggle switches
  3. Toggle any widget on or off
  4. Changes are saved automatically and take effect immediately

Different team members can have different widget configurations. A warehouse manager might want Reorder Alerts and Pending Delivery front and center, while a sales manager might prefer the Sales Chart and POS Statistics.


Refreshing the Dashboard

The dashboard auto-refreshes when you navigate to it. If you've been on the dashboard for a while and want fresh data, simply click the browser's refresh button or navigate away and back.


Dashboard vs. Reports

The dashboard is designed for quick daily monitoring — it gives you real-time snapshots, not deep dives. For detailed analysis (date range filters, export to CSV, grouped reports), use the Reports section under Sales & Finance.

Widgets only show data you have permission to view. If a widget appears blank, your user role may not have access to that data type. Contact your Super Admin to adjust permissions.
